Caring for the people you love shouldn't mean forgetting yourself.
Hi, I'm Marianne Seda, founder of Cuidar sin Apagarte.
I know what it means to hold up the people you love while your own needs wait for later. For years I was the woman who solved, organized, and kept going, even when I felt I couldn't do any more.
Today I support women caregivers who want to stay present for their loved ones without disappearing from their own lives.
“Because you matter too. Not only for everything you do, but for who you are.”
From holding everything up to learning to include myself.
I became a mother at 19. Since then, I learned to move fast, to solve problems, to be there for others. For 17 years I built a career in banking while also carrying family responsibilities that grew over time.
There were moments that tested me in ways I had never imagined. My mother was diagnosed with Alzheimer's. My father faced serious health problems. And my young son received a cancer diagnosis that changed everything I thought I knew about my own limits.
On top of that came moves between countries, family difficulties, losses, and an exhaustion I tried to ignore for a long time. For a long time I believed I should be able to handle everything. That if I loved enough, if I tried hard enough, I would find a way.
Over time I understood something nobody had taught me: recognizing my needs was not a luxury or a weakness. It was necessary. Learning to ask for support, to set boundaries, and to reclaim my identity was a slow, imperfect, and deeply transformative process.
“I couldn't keep being the person who was there for everyone while I myself disappeared from my own priorities.”
Who takes care of the woman who cares?
When a person faces an illness or needs constant care, most of the conversation focuses on their treatments, medications, medical appointments, and needs.
But rarely does anyone ask how the woman carrying that responsibility is doing.
Cuidar sin Apagarte was born from a personal experience and a real need: to make the emotional weight of caregiving visible, to make honest conversations easier, and to share practical tools for those who care.
“Cuidar sin Apagarte wasn't born to teach you to love less. It was born to remind you that you deserve a place in your own life too.”
My experience and training: when lived experience meets preparation
This section is not a résumé. It is the explanation of why I'm here and what allows me to support you responsibly.
Lived experience
Marianne's personal experience as a family caregiver, supporting situations related to Alzheimer's, other degenerative conditions, and her son's cancer. This experience allowed her to understand the emotional, mental, and practical weight that caregiving can involve.
Professional background
17 years of experience in commercial and corporate banking, developing skills in organization, communication, leadership, analysis, decision-making, and problem-solving.
Specialized training
- Professional training with Denise Brown through CareYears Academy.
- Certification process as a Certified Caregiving Consultant (CCC).
- Training pathways as Facilitator and Educator.
- Savvy Caregiver training.
- Additional studies and learning in self-awareness, communication, and emotional well-being.
“My experience taught me what caring means. My training allows me to keep developing tools to accompany that path with greater preparation and responsibility.”
May no woman have to lose herself in order to care for others.
My mission is to support women caregivers on a path that is often walked in silence and in loneliness. A path that deserves attention, resources, and real support.
- Recognize their needs and emotions.
- Identify patterns of self-abandonment and over-exertion.
- Understand the guilt associated with rest and boundaries.
- Reclaim their voice and autonomy.
- Seek support and resources.
- Build more sustainable ways of caring.
A caregiver's well-being doesn't depend on her attitude alone. She also needs real support, rest, resources, and shared responsibilities.
Human, mindful, and practical support.
How I work
I bring together experience, education, listening, reflection, and tools you can apply to real situations.
I don't offer one-size-fits-all solutions, and I don't demand a perfect process.
What I aim to create
Spaces where women can understand their experience, recognize their options, and make decisions that respect their circumstances.
Educational support does not replace medical or psychological care when it is needed.
A space to understand what you're living and to remember that you count too.
At Cuidar sin Apagarte you'll find resources designed to accompany you at different moments of your journey as a caregiver.

Sanando las Raíces del Cuidado
An eight-week group process focused on exploring caregiving patterns, emotional overload, needs, and the recovery of identity.
“I managed to have the peace I always wanted. There was a before and an after the first reflection; I felt it enormously. I learned that the most important thing, without belittling my family, is me, because if I'm okay, everyone else will be okay. This project is very beautiful and very necessary. I don't know where or how this connection came about, but I'm grateful for it.”
Individual experience. Results vary from person to person.
You don't have to wait until you're completely exhausted to start taking care of yourself.
If you've made it this far, perhaps you recognize something of my story in yours.
Perhaps you love the person you care for deeply, but you're tired. Perhaps it's hard for you to ask for help, or you've spent so long attending to everyone else's needs that you no longer know where to begin recognizing your own.
I want to remind you of something:
You don't have to do it all alone. And you don't have to change your whole life overnight.
You can begin by acknowledging that your needs matter too.
Because caring can be a profound expression of love.
But you are part of that love too.
Welcome to Cuidar sin Apagarte.
With love,
